Don Plummer is a Principal and leader in Northwest Harbor’s Transformation Practice specializing in large-scale operations and enterprise leadership. Don has extensive experience as a dual-career executive in both the U.S. Navy SEAL Teams as well as the commercial sector, and brings nearly three decades of executive leadership experience to the Northwest Harbor Team. Throughout his career, he has consistently achieved success developing and leading teams across the globe in both for-profit activities as well as executing against strategic-level military objectives.

 

Don previously served as vice-president and managing director for management service organizations Dendrite and Williams Lea Tag, working with some of the largest pharmaceutical, consulting, legal, and technology companies, prior to starting his own consulting business. He has deep subject matter expertise in leading senior client engagements through proactive problem-solving, intrusive leadership, and developing and delivering best-in-class services.

 

Don’s Special Operations background consists of a 28-year career as an enterprise leader in the Navy SEAL Teams, building and leading high-performing teams during strategic-level Special Operations missions across the globe. Most recently, he served as Chief-of-Staff for a 2000-person operational unit during overseas contingency operations. Don was subsequently hand-selected to create and stand up a new Joint Special Operations unit focused on maximizing cross-functional integration of strategic-level military operations and U.S. Department of State activities.

 

Don holds an MBA from the Naval Postgraduate School and a BA in International Relations from the University of Pennsylvania.
